Latest grant funding opportunities announced by Museum Development Midlands

Children at a museum

Museum Development Midlands’ (MDM) mission is ‘To empower Midlands’ museums to thrive’. To meet this mission, they are providing a programme of Open, Strategic and Responsive small grant funding opportunities designed to support museums to develop.

Their largest grant scheme, Open Grants covers a broad range of museum activity and responds to the Arts Council England ‘Let’s Create Investment Principles’. Open Grants also includes an Audience and Workforce Development strand, supported with funding from Art Fund.

The maximum amount an individual museum can apply for through their Open Grant scheme is £5,000.

There are two rounds of Open Grant funding planned for 2024:

  • Round one – opens on 28 May and closes on Thursday 4 July 2024

  • Round two – opens on 12 August and closes on Thursday 26 September 2024

How to apply

Read the Open Grants Guidance in full before making your application.

Download and complete the Open Grants Application Form and submit to MDM Grants before the deadline.

We can come up with great ideas, superb design and copy, and exceptional photography for anything from websites to email campaigns, branding to brochures – and everything in between.

And the beauty of Spot On Creative is that we’re big in creativity, experience and knowledge, but small in overheads and invoices. So we’re a much more sensible and affordable option for you than a larger advertising agency or marketing company.
