The Forum newsletter
When
The new quarterly newsletter is published in January, April, July and October. It relies on material being sent in by members, individuals and organisations. Material can be sent in at any time, ready for the next edition.
What
We are looking for:
Short reports and photos from organisations
Items and photos from individuals
Diary of events being hosted by members
Accompanying images should be included as separate files (.jpg) and clearly state their source, confirming that we have permission to reproduce them - this will save a great deal of time! Images should be high-resolution (at least 1MB in size or larger) or they won’t reproduce very well when printed.
Lastly, once you have read our section marked ‘Important’, you should send everything by email to Colin Ashworth, Editor at nhforumnewsletter@outlook.com
Important
Contributions must be no more than 300 words in length. They must serve the purpose set out above and not stray into matters of historic or heritage interest or research.
The Editor will not accept any contribution which does not meet these criteria.
Contributions which are not in plain text or Word format (with the minimum of formatting) will not be considered and will need to be sent again. If this is likely to be a problem, please email the editor to discuss how he can help.
Editor, Colin Ashworth
Originally from Peterborough, Colin is a retired music teacher who looks after the Northamptonshire Family History Society’s website and also edits the journal for another such society. He is also a keen bellringer and family historian, and in his remaining free time he plays indoor bowls.
